Children’s Ministry
St Leonard's Parish Church
Our active Children's work is led by a dedicated team and includes Junior Church, youth club, a parent and toddler group and a variety of other activities for children and young people from birth to late teens.
Our groups are designed to offer age appropriate activities to under 5's, 5's to 11's, 11's - 14's and 15+.
All our children's activities are open to members of the local community.
We have a lively Junior Church at the Church each Sunday except the first of each month which is All Age Worship when we all gather together to worship.
On Mondays we have Tiddlywinks a friendly group for parents and toddlers with toys, games and a free lunch.
Wednesdays:-
The Hub
For young people of secondary school age. This lively group includes plenty of opportunity to make new friends, play games and take part in a wide variety of activities.
The Hub Home Group - New for 2012
For 15+ young people who want to explore their faith further.

Everyone who volunteers to work with children is subject to a CRB check.
St Ethelburga's Parish Church
Sundays: The boys and girls meet at the “Community Centre” and follow activities based on resources from Urban Saints website. We return to the church towards the end of the services to join in for the communion blessing or to show any artwork, etc to the congregation if time allows.
Wednesdays: The need for a midweek get-together for our Kids Club was realised in Spring 2011 and has been well attended throughout termtime and holidays meeting for an hour in the afternoon. The children are encouraged to start with a prayer or reading in the Side Chapel but it is a time when they can meet together to socialise. We always have table tennis, snooker and organized activities on offer.
Little Cherubs Parent and Toddler Group meets Thursday mornings in term time. This is a friendly group of parents grandparents, carers and their pre-school children, meeting socially to encourage their children. The toddlers sit round tables for a drink and a healthy snack and later enjoy singing when the musical instruments come out.
Uniformed Groups
A Guide company, two Brownies packs and Rainbows meet regularly in the Church. Once a month there is a Parade Family Service where they are encourage to be involved.
